Redgage - How to Get a Free Backlink To All Your Hubs
77
Haven’t heard of RedGage yet? Not to worry – it’s very new on the scene, but it’s got a lot of people talking already.
So what’s it all about?
RedGage is basically a site that enables you to share what you are doing online. If you have social media accounts, Hubpages, Squidoo lenses and even articles posted all over the place, you can link to them from RedGage and get them in front of an even bigger audience as a result. It’s a way of keeping everything together so people can find you.

Oh, and did I mention that you can earn money from all this as well?
How To Make Money at Redgage (allegedly)
Yes, everything you add to RedGage earns you money. It does this in two ways:
- You get paid for page views of your content
- You can also earn bonuses (although no one quite seems to know how these are worked out)
You get paid once you have accumulated $25 or more, and it comes to you via a RedGage Visa card. This is a debit card, so it will only be loaded with money you earn via the site. Once you’ve got it you can spend it how you like, and use the card just like any other debit card.
Sound too good to be true?
Darned right it does but at least it's a free backlink to your hubpage every time for nothing! The links are definitely NOT no follow and show up in both google analytics, adsense AND hubpages traffic monitoring stats.
I for one am seeing traffic from there incoming to my hubs.
How to Get the Backlinks from Redgage - Sign up
You’ll see a sign up button in the top right of the screen when you arrive on the RedGage website, at www.redgage.com. Once you have joined – it just takes a few moments to do – you can log into your account and start submitting material.
You can add a variety of items on RedGage, including:
- Videos
- Links
- Blogs
- Photos
- Documents
So let’s start by seeing how you can submit a Hubpage to your RedGage account, shall we?
Submitting your first Hubpage to Redgage
Okay so you will be submitting a LINK in this instance, so you need to look for the upload button to the right of any page you are on. You’ll see it next to the search box.
A box will then drop down and you’ll
need to select ‘link’ from the options you have on the left.
You should see four boxes you need to fill in from this point. I'm going to use my "Hurricane Chris" hub as an example link to post.
The first one is the title. Just insert the title of your Hubpage for this one. Simple as that.
Next, add a description of your link. It only needs to be something short and simple.
The link box is for your actual link – URL – to your Hubpage to go into. And of course you should know a little bit about tags as you will have used them for your Hubpage originally. Put a few of the best ones into your RedGage link submission page – they will do the same job here too. I'll warn you though the tag system is frustrating beyond belief!
Once that is done, click the continue button.
Once you click the continue button and you will see a range of images that RedGage has found on your Hubpage. Choose the most suitable one and click the upload button to successfully add your link to the site. That’s all there is to it!
Wow! So what else can I do on RedGage?
Well it pays to upload as much as you can, so go into your dashboard and look for the link that invites you to import your content. This has had the odd hiccup from time to time – RedGage is still very new and hard at work identifying the bugs – so you might have to try more than once to do this.
But the idea is that you can import all the content from your blog (or your various social media accounts) all in one hit, without having to constantly update it. So once RedGage is set up and synched with your blog, for example, every time you write a blog post it will automatically be added to RedGage so you can start earning money from it!
Getting connected on RedGage
It is also easy to find people on RedGage. Use the search facility to enter keywords that will help you find the right people. For example, I typed in Hubpages and got plenty of results leading me to other hubs and hubbers on RedGage. It’s a great way to connect with other people!
Once you have explored the site and got to know your way around, you’ll soon be adding your items and making friends with all kinds of people. Not to mention making some extra cash along the way.
Does Redgage work?
Frankly I have no idea but it certainly gives you a free backlink from a site that, at the time of writing this hub, has PageRank 3. Which is probably worth having for the little effort it takes every time you publish a hub!
Am I getting traffic from it? Little as yet but then ALL backlinks take a while to pay off...

Interesting, thanks for the info!
Thanks. The screen shots are a great way to see that this is an easy way to set up a backlink.
I joined RedGage a few weeks ago as I tend to do when I hear of a new site but hadn't had a chance to figure out what it was all about yet. Thanks for saving me the time with a great hub!
Cheers,
Dana
Looks like a great resource, thanks for sharing it.
Sounds good but as you say perhaps too good to be true? Perhaps you will update when you have used it for longer?
That sounds good but I don't like the idea of getting a debit card just for them. I would rather go through PayPal.
Well -- I might give it a try. Thanks for the information, Julie-Ann.
It's the first I've heard of this site, I'll go check it out.
Thanks :)
wow, this is nice and all, but is this social network traffic? im just curious. or is getting backlinks the priority goal in signing up? are they dofollow? sorry for the questions:)
thanks for the detailed and easy-to-follow guide
thanks for the info, ill try it out!
Thanks for sharing such useful info. I'll check it out.
Thanks for this one, Used your link to join, and made first connection. If this works the reason I am there is to link, and create even more links to my hubs, my blogs, etc. I am not there for the money, as I believe it will be a similar story as with hub pages, you really have to be super active to make money.
I always try new things, and being referred from someone like you, means it has been tried, though in this case still new
Will bookmark this and check back to see the feedback. Thanks.
Thank you for this article, I will also be checking it out.

Helpful information, I've signed up!
Awesome and very useful information! :) Keep it up.
Hi Julie Ann, thanks for this hub! I'm in the process of signing up and it's asking who referred me so I'd like to put in your correct user name - please let me know what it is asap!
Hi Julie Ann, thanks for this hub very useful info
I heard of this a few months ago and got involved in something else and never joined. I'll join through your link. Thanks for the info!
This sounds like a great idea, will have to look into it for sure. Interesting they send you out a debit card type thing for payment, never heard of that one before.
Thanks great info..! Did not know about RedGage.
it is great post to earn money. but i am so tired now to read any post give tips to earn cash ;;;;;;) lolz
------------------------
I just signed up for a RedGage account after reading another hub. It seems a bit... off. But, like you said, you can't beat a free backlink! :D
very useful information about RedGage. Thanks for sharing.
The only thing I don't like about RedGage is that is sooooo slow!
It takes forever to do anything there.
I can click a link, go do something and come back to the computer before the page loads.
And my internet connection runs around 9700 kbps.
I came here through Lady E so thank you both. :-)
Allelulia Yes, Great News. I look forward to getting with redgage. Thanks for all the research and awesome hub.
Blessings Always.
I joined this site today and my user name is Anamika.
Hello
Great information. I'll go and check it out. I'm still trying to figure out what back-links are and the importance of them! Cheers
Why is redgage encouraging duplicate content?
I joined but am weary to invest much time into it for several reasons. Here are a few:
1) The debit card they give you has associated charges.
2) It’s packed with duplicate content. This makes it unlikely it will get much love from Google in the future.
3) There is a lack of transparency compared to hubpages or infobarrel. They pay an arbitrary rate and you can’t track how much they make from your pages.
On a positive note, there is an opportunity to get backlinks, even if they aren’t great ones.
Is it genuine? Do they really pay?
Interesting... do they have support for latinamerica?
Thanks for the little guide! I am now testing a few backlinks!
I just won the RedGage $25 raffle - WOOHOO!! -climberjames
My biggest problem with it is that the stuff I upload doesn't seem to get indexed. Either that or I'm not figuring out the right URL... their URL's are flaky
Thanks for the info. I put your name as a referral!
Sounds even better than submitting articles to Ezinearticles. I like the dofollow backlinks part.
Thanks for the great information. I tried to find you on redgage, but couldn't find your name. My user name is djemme if you want to be friends :)
Great hub! I have been trying to figure out how to find other hubbers on RG. New to there and still trying to figure out a few things. Do you think just adding your links is better than doing a short blog and adding your links at the bottom? Just wondering was curious about keywords and content being found in searches on RG for our hubs getting a backlink and more traffic as well.
I didn't kow you could load up links on redgage, thank you, this is really a helpful hub!
Great info thanks. Yes it is always useful for new traffic to backlink and get those hubs posted higher up the google pages
I've heard a lot about RedGage lately. I'll have to check it out.
Thanks for this info - I've created my first Hub today and just submitted a link to Redgage thanks to your clear instructions!
Thanks for the information on RedGage, it sounds great...
Great advice, many thanks!
Impressive site for traffic generation and google indexing.
I always see Redgage in backlink watch.
Thanks, I was really confused about how to use RedGage. This helped a lot! I don't get the tags, though. Argh!
Hey there Julie-Ann
Thanks for the great tips on Redgage. I realized only after reading your hub that I haven't been using redgage enough, to my advantage.
I had one clarification though. You said it allows to import content for instance from our hub page and blogs...I guess this is a standard question typical of other integration with other sites too. Wonder if you could help me out...My blogger blog is attached to my google adsense gmail account and fear for the security of my gmail/google activities? that is if I allow access to any of the sites asking for that gmail account access. Or are some sites like Redgage etc okay.
Glad to come accross of this useful hub of yours. I will join Redgage today. Thanks for the tip.
Thanks for the detailed instructions! I have joined Redgage but wasn't sure how to really use it. This was very helpful.
Thanks for showing how to do this it will come in handy as I am new to all this. Voted up great hub!

Nice... Another great way to get backlinks built up is to join membership sites with high page rank (4-9) and add a link into your about me/bio section. If your a part of any membership sites that you didn't fill in the bio/about me, you should take advantage of this. For hubpages link to your profile since it links to all of your hubs (it's your home page so to speak of a mini-site)
