I remember reading somewhere that on Twitter, you are seven followers away from Kevin Bacon. I think that is true, too. When Gov Schwarzenegger had just started his twitter accout, I started following him just for the heck of it. And what happens next? Schwarzenegger starts following me!
But just like Uninvited Writer pointed above, he has more than 10k followers, and he seems to be following back all of them.

I don't like the idea of celebrities being on there though as they get thousands of followers straight away and they respond to them all like it's fan mail. Some may think this is pretty decent of them but it's hard to think that when you're twitter stream is polluted with celebrity @replies!

If you read Ben's older post it really does sound like him, but again, I'm still not sure.

Julie-Ann, what a great post! I have been watching The Ellen show lately and she has been doing a lot of twittering. She had a funny episode not too long ago where she twittered MC Hammer. It must have taken him a long time to respond because he made an apologetic video of him and his family rapping.

A ghostwritten twitter is where the twitter account is sanctioned by the celebrity but they don't actually post their own tweets, they employ a ghostwriter to do this for them.

Hi Julie-Ann! I'm not a Wentworth Miller addict but I'd also appreciate if you could find out if @millerwentworth is real. I was planning on publishing a post that mentions him, but after reading some of his alleged tweets I'm not convinced that it's real based on the interviews of him I've seen. I found that he has a very deliberate, kind of "sophisticated" way of talking and I don't see this in "his" tweets. I also agree with InSpIrEd, in basically every interview I've seen he mentions that he's a very private person so why would he use a social networking site. I did a little research myself and couldn't find any link from an official site that links to this twitter account. I'm quite sure this account is fake but please let me know if you find out more, many thanks!
Follow up: @millerwentworth is a fake. In an interview with the Australian Associated Press W.M. stated "...The fact is I’ve never been on myspace. People posing as me is a little unsettling, a little frightening… it disturbs me on a profound level.” @millerwentworth wrote 22 hours ago that "One day, on Myspace, I will spend my whole on accepting ALL requests. I promise. God , I'm lazy." so, obviously this account is a fake!

I happen to know a few celebs who ive verified are real but cannot give out their urls as they prefer privacy...except they aren't on the above list...not all celebs want their twitters overly publicized...and also some celebs say they dont have a twitter so they can have one in relative anonymity to weed out the weirdoes and talk instead with select groups of ppl...also some have posers who are very good at decieving others into believing theyre real and decieved even celebs...also theres a campaign afoot to force celebs into situations where unless they have their publicist set up the twitter and agree with twitter for the celeb not to respond to fans ever, or alternatively very rarely, their twitter will be deleted as a poser even if its real...so beware...
